The wife and I had B - fast here on Tuesday. It wasn't busy at all. We were greeted with a smile from the front desk when we walked in. The inside of this restaurant was clean, our waitress was really nice. We ordered our food, her usual (eggs benidict) I got the hearty breakfast? The food came out really quicker than I anticipated. All of the food looked good and tasted good also. Not sure why this location gets bad reviews, although this is not my local Perkins. I would drive down to this one before i go to my local one again if service was this great every time.

Been sitting here for almost 15 minutes and still no service.. really want to support cottage grove business but it is so difficult with this horrible service grrrrr....our server wasn't busy she just did not come by at all .. after 25 minutes the host actually came by to take our order... and to top it off the restaurant was not even busy. I'm not a big fan of writing bad reviews but hopefully this will help them bring up their service. Level. The food was fine had the tremendous 12...

Really really bad service. I went the other day late at night, 30 minutes to closing, only wanting to buy a pie and leave but no one greeted us. No one came to the front, we walked toward the back to find someone and she said they were closed. As soon as we left we saw that someone came out of the kitchen so we went back in and asked to buy a pie and he reluctantly rung us up and sloppily packed our pie. Overall bad attitude from both employees we encountered. Pie was average. Would not recommend.

No love for this Perkins here on Yelp, huh? It's okay Perkins, I'll show you a li'l love! We've been eating at this Perkins for over 10 years. Not that I love Perkins so much, but we just don't have that many food options here in the Grove. We've had some decent food, and we've had probably-won't-order-that-again food. We've had some terrific service, and we've had some spectacularly awful service. Here's the story, as far as I know: this used to be a franchise Perkins, then sometime in late 2012, it became a corporate owned store. They got a facelift, they got a new manager, they stepped it up a little. So the last two years have been the best out of the 10 that we've been eating there. The food is Perkins food. Whatever. Not even going to go there. Either you tolerate Perkins food or you don't. You know the drill, order breakfast food and be happy, or order off the dinner menu and be uninspired. The current waitstaff really are great. You got a few high school and college girls, and a few career servers. They are all friendly, and get our order right. What else can you ask for? So, see ya around, Perkins. I always think of you when I want pancakes late at night!

Stopped in last night after a trip to iowa to see the family. I also am not a big fan of Perkins, but we really needed to stop and it was open late. We both ordered breakfast, and to our slight surprise, the food came quick and hot. The eggs were done the way we ordered (OE), and the pancakes were hot and fluffy. Prices were decent, server was very friendly. I'd give it a B+.

Wanted to get some breakfast at night, waited to be seated and the "hostess" seated this couple who came in after me. Never been there before, never going back.

To start, this was my hometown Perkins. I have been a patron here multiple times growing up and just again recently. With that said, there is a reason that my family would often travel 20 minutes to Woodbury to go to their Perkins... Management has always been an issue, with cold food being served and a wait staff that never had an A-game. Multiple times cold eggs were served, only to be microwaved (which makes them rubbery) and returned to our table. On a Perkins chain as a whole note, their French fries taste awful. For some reason I always forget this when I order, but something is not right with them...
